Biodegradable plastic soon banned in Australia

WISE is thrilled to observe new laws in Australia which will see the end of ‘biodegradable’ plastics by mid-2022. These plastics, whilst appearing far less harmful than traditional single-use plastics, are also major contributors to global waste where the standard for ‘biodegradable’ itself is somewhat less regulated.

We hope to see this law underline the need for greater effort and awareness surrounding sustainability – and highlight the small changes every person can implement in their daily lives to make a big difference.
